World Dance Day

On April 29, dance is celebrated internationally: the annual World Dance Day is therefore a must-attend event for the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD). This year, two contemporary choreographers will take the stage at the historic Mirabell Gardens in Salzburg. On the famous Rosenhügel and in Heckentheater, choreographer Aladino Rivera (MEX) and SEAD student Junjian Wang (CHN) will present their latest works with fourth-year SEAD students.

The performances will take place on April 29, 2026, starting at 4:00 p.m. (beginning on Rosenhügel) in the Mirabell Gardens. Admission is free. In case of heavy rain, the event will be moved to the Josef Eckart Theatre at SEAD (Schallmooser Hauptstraße 48a) starting at 6:00 p.m.
